A Quick Look At Guitar Hero Games & History

There are few video games that have been as successful as the one that we are going to look at today. The Game

Guitar Hero game is a type of video game where someone is allowed to use a controller that is shaped like a guitar, so as to come up with the notes of the guitar. The notes that come out include those of the bass guitar, the lead guitar and the rhythm guitar.  For you to play this game and win, you must ensure that you get the applause of the crowd (virtual,) and that you score points by matching the notes that appear on the screen.

The History

Despite the fact that children and adults alike have played imaginary guitars for decades, it is important to take note of the fact that the guitar hero games & history have not been there for that long. In fact, this games just came up in the year 2005 when a number of companies came together to ensure its success. Harmonix Music Systems and RedOctane are the companies that published the game, while the role of distributing it to the gamers was left to Activision. Over the years, the game has evolved to the extent that it differs greatly from the initial game in terms of user experience and features.

The Various Editions

As already mentioned in the preceding paragraph, it is important to take note of the fact that the guitar hero games & history has undergone many changes for the five or six years that they have been in existence. During this time, a number of editions have been coming up, each an improvement on the previous game. The first game came with Playstation 2 in 2005 under the title “Guitar Hero.” In the following year, the second version of the game was released, followed by the third version: Guitar Hero – Legends of Rock, which was released in the year 2007.

The third edition became extremely popular because of the fact that the game had been widely distributed on very many platforms including Playstation 2, Playstation 3, Xbox, Windows, and Mac platforms. As a result of this, the companies came up with the fourth edition of the game which was known as the Guitar Hero world Tour in the year 2008. The fifth edition that was simply known as Guitar Hero 5 was released in September of 2009 also had several additions, which included more artists and different modes of playing the song. The sixth and the last edition that winds up our analysis of guitar hero games & history, was released in September 2010. 

Since many partnerships that were there at the beginning of the guitar hero games & history have been dissolved or have simply fizzled out, it remains to be seen what more is in store for us in the coming years.
